Satio versus N8
Over the years I can recollect Sony Ericsson and Nokia have been fierce competitors with their outstanding Phones and over the last two years with their Smart Phones.
Firstly Nokia produced the Nokia 5800 and a little while later Sony Ericsson came up with an outstanding Smart Phone Satio to rival the Nokia 5800. This then led Nokia to come back with the N900 running on the Maemo OS, Sony Ericsson then released two Smart Phones the Aino and Elm.
Enough of that lets get down to the nitty gritty of comparing our beloved Sony Ericsson Satio against the Nokia N8.
Operating Sytsem
With the Satio been out now about 8 months, Nokia have had a quite a bit of time to find out what are the bad points of Symbian s60v5, obviously they have taken a close look because the Nokia N8 has the new Symbian^3 OS.
Camera
The Satio compares very well to the Nokia N8 with the Camera, both Phones have a 12 megapixel camera, both have Xenon Flash, however the N8 as HD video recording facilities.
Social Networking
Nokia have paid particular attention to Facebook in the Phone integrating it in to the N8, seeing that the majority of users are using Facebook on their Smart Phones. When Sony Ericsson Updated the Firmware about 6 weeks they ago integrated Facebook on to the Satio.
Multitouch
Whilst the N8 has multi touch the Satio does not, Nokia have integrated the pinch movement(which looks very similar to Apples iPhone) into the new OS.
Conclusion
Overall the N8 dare I say it is a better Phone in most departments then the Satio, but Nokia have had a lot to learn from, with the Nokia 5800 and the Sony Ericsson Satio.
In my opinion if you are Sony Ericsson Lover or a Nokia Lover you will stay with whichever you like.
The Nokia N8 is due for release late summer 2010.

Well, it is quite hard to choose, do you think? Nope, I will choose Satio for design because it has lens cover and removeable battery, while N8 doesn’t have any of them, if one of them break down, you will juz have to throw it away :). I will choose Satio all the way.
P.S- N8 is cheap too, this is an extra fact to think about the two things I’ve mentioned above.

Don’t think so, its OS is different,it’s capability are different even iphone 4g won’t beat its specifications. it’s juz the processor I am afraid, other than that it is a lot better than iphone3gs and it will better than iphone 4g, Samsung is the one always copy and such an epic failure..not Nokia, because they are the richest in Telecom market.

N8 has in built 16 gb memory damn satio has 1or 2 gb.Can u think of iphone pinch zooming in n8 be there in satio.Nope.Well the unremovable battery adds more stability, taking it to a service center they will help you get it removed and fix a new one. Satio could never even think of beating this phone becuz nokia n8 will rival x10 and iphone by specs.
This phone has 680mhz arm 11 which with the new symbian^3 equals 1ghz processing power.When it is released other companies will surely have some sleepless nights. With carl zeiss 28 mm optics and a big sensor(not found in any phones) image quality will be better than pixon 12 and satio.
In India it is priced at above 20,000. A prototype of n8 was tested and ended up being 200% faster than n97 and 300% than satio. well crosses any other fone. Symbian^3 is ultimate smartphone os.
which has better music and sound quality
I am a Sony ericsson fan i like very much the satio . But now i like NOKIA N8 more than satio bcoz the features of N8. Now i like nokia ONLY N8 bcoz their other phone are really bad compare with sony ericsson.
No, satio cant overcome the new nokia n8 coz iam using a se satio. A week ago i had visited the singapore communasia expo 2010 and i compared both of them but my satio cant win any of the challenge i had made with it. Nokia N8 offers 16GB internal memory, video recording in HD, and all above it offers 50hrs of music playback so really iam waiting it be in india and one more thing it takes value for the customer money they told it will be avaliable at 370euro(21,000)+tax
The new nokia n8 can surely replace SE satio coz the nokia n8 has 16GB internal and they offers 50hrs of music playback and really iam a nokia fan but for last 4 months iam using SE satio because of the 12mp camera that nokia couldn’t have anything to replace the 12MP but surely iam addicted to the nokia n8 now i will surely have one when it release in india and i will throw my satio
Whatever is it…I can see that you guys are comparing devices which have like a wide time difference, other than Nokia N8 other phones are crap, I believe it is 2 times faster than N97 but it can’t be 3 times faster than Satio as I am sure satio is running with 600Mhz Arm cotex with graphic accelerator. Dude…calm down,whoever win,u lose

I THINK THAT IT WILL BE BETTER THAN SONY ERICSSON SATIO BUT NOKIA ALWAYS HAS A PROBLEMS OF HANGING & NOKIA N8 CAMERA HAVE ONLY 2X ZOOMING WHERE SATIO HAS 16X ZOOMING IN OWN CAMERA BUT OTHER ONE THING THAT NOKIA HAS HD RECORDING WHICH IS MISSING IN SONY SATIO……..

it hs gt such stunning features lik 12mp camera,xenon flash. it’s processor,os is one of d bst n flexible. it’s feature’s are just rocker. nt even satio,iphone4,i8910 stand around it in comprisson. you rock nokia n8.

i use satio but its very much better than n8…
n one more thing that satio had no HD recording but it has HQ recording….
well in 1week i will going to use n8 n then i will see that who is better…
but in looks Satio always wins..
it has very gud design n it also had 256MB of Ram..

i m a nokia lover but after using satio i prefer to go with satio..that is Sony Ericsson…
Sony Ericsson also provide good battery..
if u use ur satio on standby it will work for 2weeks but if u use it on listening songs n watching movies then it will work 5days approx..
so use device n then go with it….
so its battery life is also good..
so i will say… F**k Nokia N8..

one more thing that sation has also multi touch..
just install a software n den its screen will multitouch..
