Once you have decided which image you would like to use you can resize, zoom, crop it with the built in image editor.

Play with colour

Do you like a colour in an image if so you can use it, just move the dots to make it happen.

Play around with it you can do all sorts with it. Make your Satio stand out from other Phones no one will ever have the same Theme as you now.

Over the years I can recollect Sony Ericsson and Nokia have been fierce competitors with their outstanding Phones and over the last two years with their Smart Phones.

Firstly Nokia produced the Nokia 5800 and a little while later Sony Ericsson came up with an outstanding Smart Phone Satio to rival the Nokia 5800. This then led Nokia to come back with the N900 running on the Maemo OS, Sony Ericsson then released two Smart Phones the Aino and Elm.

Enough of that lets get down to the nitty gritty of comparing our beloved Sony Ericsson Satio against the Nokia N8.

Operating Sytsem

With the Satio been out now about 8 months, Nokia have had a quite a bit of time to find out what are the bad points of Symbian s60v5, obviously they have taken a close look because the Nokia N8 has the new Symbian^3 OS.

Camera

The Satio compares very well to the Nokia N8 with the Camera, both Phones have a 12 megapixel camera, both have Xenon Flash, however the N8 as HD video recording facilities.

Social Networking

Nokia have paid particular attention to Facebook in the Phone integrating it in to the N8, seeing that the majority of users are using Facebook on their Smart Phones. When Sony Ericsson Updated the Firmware about 6 weeks they ago integrated Facebook on to the Satio.

Multitouch

Whilst the N8 has multi touch the Satio does not, Nokia have integrated the pinch movement(which looks very similar to Apples iPhone) into the new OS.

Conclusion

Overall the N8 dare I say it is a better Phone in most departments then the Satio, but Nokia have had a lot to learn from, with the Nokia 5800 and the Sony Ericsson Satio.

In my opinion if you are Sony Ericsson Lover or a Nokia Lover you will stay with whichever you like.

The Nokia N8 is due for release late summer 2010.

 Now lets start by comparing it against the high end Sony Ericsson, Both of these phones use the S60 OS, which is well established in the Mobile Market but Manufacturers are starting to make use of other OS, but I would not let that worry you. Both have touch screen with touch screen keyboard.

Conclusion

Overall the Nokia 5230 compares very well with the Sony Ericsson Satio, but the Satio does have a lot more advanced features, which is expectable comparing the Prices of the two phones. The Satio far outweighs the Nokia 5230 with the Camera, camera features, wireless Nokia 5230 does not have. Both Phones run of the same OS, which I have found to be the best OS over the years. So if you want an entry level Touchscreen phone and cannot the Satio then you should choose the Nokia 5230.

Over the years Sony Ericsson and Blackberry have come along way in how they are developing Mobile Phones.

Over years Sony Ericsson have been the Leaders in the Market with Walkman Phones, now they are going into a different direction with the Satio.

Blackberry Storm 2 has gained popularity in the world of Mobile Phones for its stylish looks and features.

The Sony Ericsson Satio has a 3.5 inch TFT touch screen display with a resolution of 360 X 640 pixels which in turn its display uses up to 16,777,216 million colours. The Blackberry Storm 2 comes with a 3.25 inch TFT Touch Screen and uses only 65,000 colours.
Sony Ericsson Satio has a strong networking power that includes quad band,  GSM (850, 900, 1800, and 1900) and 3G network which allows HSDPA 2100, HSDPA 850/1900/2100. HSCSD, EDGE, GPRS, 3G and WLAN are the connectivity of the phone which is strong enough to provide a very fast internet connection to its users. Transferring data into computer is possible as this instrument holds USB version 2.0 and Bluetooth version 2.0 with A2DP make able to share the data with other tools.

But BlackBerry Storm 2 gained strong connectivity like micro USB, Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g as a result user can download data with a high speed and they also can experience a great speed of internet. It also supports GPRS (Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 - 48 kbps), EDGE with Class 10, 236.8 kbps.
Satio Offers a Massive 12MP compared to Blackberry Storm 2 3.2MP, Sony Ericsson Satio Camera specs offer far more than Blackberry Storm 2, with the following specs 12* Digital auto Focus, touch focus, Xenon Flash, Video Light, Image Stabilisation, Smile Detection, Red Eye Reduction, GEO tagging,  compare this with the Storm 2 3.2MP, LED Flash which helps to take photos in the dark, the advanced function that the Storm 2 has is GEO Tagging and image stabilisation. It also has a 2X digital Zoom.
Sony Ericsson Satio comes with Standard battery (Li-Po 1000 mAh) which can stand by up to 360 hour for 2G and up to 340 hour for 3G. As a result user can talk non stop up to 11 hour for 2G and up to 4 hour 50 minutes for 3G, when once it is fully charged. I cannot say that I have had this amount of Battery, because I am using the Satio all the time making Calls, testing apps, and transferring to Satio from the PC (whilst it is connected to the PC it is charging, I cannot be without so I am unable to test fully).

On the other hand BlackBerry Storm 2 has a strong battery (Li-Ion 1400 mAh) which provides a talk time up to 5 hour for (2G) and 6 hours for (3G). It also can stand by up to 305 hours for (2G) and 280 hours for (3G).

The Ultimate decision is up to you the User to decide, which is the best Mobile Phone for your needs, to be honest for my needs it has to be the Sony Ericsson Satio, but everyone as their own opinion. All I can do is try to convert you to the Satio.
Conclusion

The Sony Ericsson Satio outstrips the Blackberry Storm 2 by 9 Mega Pixels with the Camera and all the camera features, it also out stripes the screen and screen resolution. A couple of good things for the Blackberry Storm 2 are its looks and the better battery, but I like size and feel of the Satio, it looks good to.

Let’s start with the Camera

Satio Offers a Massive 12MP compared to Nokia’s 5800 3MP, Sony Ericsson Satio Camera specs offer far more than Nokia’s 5800, with the following specs 12* Digital auto Focus, touch focus smile detection, Xenon Flash, Video Light, geotagging  compare this with the 5800 3.15MP, auto focus Carl Zeiss optics, geotagging.

PlayNow v Ovi Store

With Nokia 5800 been released before the Sony Ericsson Satio, Nokia set the standards with applications, Games, Themes and Ringtones via the OVI store, this gave the Sony Ericsson Satio something to work towards, but as much as I like the Sony Ericsson Satio they have been a bit slow with applications, Sony Ericsson have setup Play Now, with Videos, Applications, Themes and Games, but there is nowhere near what the OVI store as, I believe this is due to the fact anything Nokia 5800 related will work on the Sony Ericsson Satio, with a bit of tweaking.

Memory & Processor

The Sony Ericsson Satio does it again with the memory, internal memory on Sony Ericsson Satio 256mb compared to Nokia 5800 128mb, external memory Sony Ericsson Satio removable up  to 32GB and the Nokia 5800 removable up to 16GB.

Sony Ericsson Satio processor - ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz processor w/ 3D accel while the Nokia 5800 as only ARM 11 434 MHz processor, so the Sony Ericsson Satio is far Superior then the Nokia 5800 in nearly every aspect.

Conclusion

Why would you want to buy anything other then the Sony Ericsson Satio when you compare it to Nokia’s Flagship 5800, not only does it out perform the camera it also does this with the Memory and Processor.
